Job Description:

Supports multiple athletic teams/programs and schedules during the course of a week. Establishes a standing operating procedure for patient care guidelines in collaboration with the team physician. Complies with the Compliance Plan, rules, and regulations of all local, state, and federal agencies, and standards of accrediting bodies and payers. Other duties as assigned. Provides quality evidence-based athletic health services and develops comprehensive health care programs. Builds and maintains strategic relationships between physicians, office staff, hospital administration, athletic trainers, athletic directors, athletes, and their parents. Fulfills the staff and medical requirements of contracts or partnership agreements for assigned areas or events. Maintains medical records that meet legal and regulatory standards. Utilizes standard coding and reimbursement practices for documentation and billing. Collaborates with contract leadership to define and execute policies and procedures specific to the contractual agreement. Participates in program and process changes resulting from performance improvement activities. Acts as a liaison between the patient/partner and the appropriate medical service line to resolve medical services or operational issues. Responds quickly to issues identified by physicians, patient/partners, and clients, coordinating medical care on behalf of the patient.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English [Required]

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

  • Understands the role of liaison between athlete, host athletic trainer, physician and family. [Required]

  • Medical terminology surrounding the care and prevention of athletic injury and illness [Required]




Education:

  • Bachelor's [Required]




Field of Study:

  • Athletic Training or related field [Required]

Pay Range:

$44,033.60 - $81,910.40
