Overview
LMI is seeking an Instructional Designer at the Level III level to develop accessible, effective learning experiences supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Agile practices and Atlassian Cloud adoption. This role combines learning strategy, curriculum design, digital content development, and performance support to translate complex processes and tools into practical instruction for a diverse federal workforce.
The Instructional Designer will design role-based learning paths for leadership, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, delivery teams, and tool administrators. The position develops live-instruction materials, self-paced e-learning, hands-on exercises, job aids, assessments, and adoption-hub resources using ADDIE or SAM and tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise. Content will be prepared for the existing learning management system and validated against accessibility requirements.
This is not a slide-production-only role. The designer must identify the performance problem behind a training request, define measurable learning objectives, test content with representative learners, and refine materials based on completion data and user feedback. The ideal candidate balances technical accuracy with adult-learning principles, concise writing, visual clarity, and Section 508 compliance.
LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Investing in technology and prototypes ahead of need, LMI brings commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready AI to federal agencies at commercial speed.

- Script accurate Jira Cloud and Agile demonstrations with consistent terminology, realistic workflows, annotated screenshots, and accessible interaction patterns.
- Build facilitator notes, learner guides, scenario-based exercises, quick-reference cards, and assessment items that reinforce on-the-job application.
- Conduct editorial, functional, and accessibility quality assurance; document remediation decisions before course publication and updates.
- Manage content versions, review cycles, SME approvals, and content ownership so learning materials stay aligned with changing platform configurations.
