Our dedicated 20,000 employees optimize the branch, improve operational efficiency and maximize self-service availability for financial institutions and retailers across the globe. Title: AT&T Billing & Operations Manager
Location: Belgrade, Hybrid
We are seeking a proven people leader with strong billing operations experience to manage a dedicated customer billing team within NCR Atleos' Telecom & Technology (T&T) organization. The role combines team development and accountability with accurate, timely invoicing, customer partnership, and end-to-end process improvement across Sales, Services, Finance, and other functions.
Position Summary
The AT&T Billing & Operations Manager is first and foremost accountable for building and leading an effective team. The manager also owns day-to-day billing performance, including manual and automated invoicing, unbilled-service tracking, billing readiness, and resolution of customer issues. Success requires proven people leadership, sound billing knowledge, independent judgment, and the ability to replace recurring problems with clear ownership, reliable controls, and sustainable processes.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Lead, coach, and develop the billing team. Set priorities and performance expectations, balance workloads, build individual capability, and establish a culture of accountability, honest communication, respectful challenge, and follow-through.
• Own timely and accurate execution of manual and automated billing for assigned services, including invoice preparation, validation, issue resolution, and monitoring of items at risk of remaining unbilled.
• Build reliable controls connecting contracts, service and equipment records, equipment additions and removals, billing requests, purchase orders, invoices, and outstanding unbilled activity. Ensure material balances can be supported with traceable detail.
• Work with AT&T and internal teams to resolve funded-PO gaps, PO replacements and uplifts, approvals, master-data issues, and other dependencies that delay billing. Address root causes rather than relying on repeated manual exceptions.
• Lead resolution of billing disputes, aged unbilled items, and historical backbilling questions. Provide accurate supporting records and partner with Finance, Collections, and commercial owners on accrual support, receivables, and rebate-related activity.
• Serve as the operational management contact for AT&T and as the internal escalation point for complex billing matters, coordinating across Sales, Services/CMO, Finance, Collections, and customer stakeholders to drive decisions and timely closure.
• Establish a clear operating cadence with meaningful measures for invoice timeliness, billing accuracy, unbilled balances, PO readiness, open disputes, and action closure. Escalate risks early with a recommended solution.
• Lead meaningful operational change by questioning inherited handoffs, engaging the team in problem solving, simplifying unnecessary complexity, and implementing repeatable processes and controls.
Basic Qualifications
• 2+ years of direct people-management experience, with demonstrated success coaching employees, managing performance, setting expectations, and leading teams through change.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in billing operations, order-to-cash, commercial operations, or customer operations in a B2B services environment.
• Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of complex billing processes, including recurring service invoicing, purchase-order dependencies, unbilled activity, and customer billing issues.
• Strong analytical and operational judgment, with a track record of developing teams, solving cross-functional problems, and implementing controls and process improvements.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, operations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience; professional fluency in English is required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in telecommunications, managed services, IT infrastructure, hardware maintenance, or other complex contract-based service environments.
• Experience with Quickbase, Salesforce, ERP/billing platforms, or similar workflow and data-management tools, including reconciliation across multiple sources.
• Experience leading operational transformation that improved billing accuracy, invoice timeliness, data integrity, or control of aged unbilled activity.
• Experience leading customer-facing operational teams in a global, matrixed organization and communicating effectively with senior commercial and operational stakeholders.
Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job.
