  • Financial Reporting: Draft full, precise statutory financial statements and supporting workpaper packages in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.

  • Quality Review & Leadership: Review financial statements, Activity Statements (BAS/IAS), and tax returns prepared by graduate and junior accountants, providing constructive feedback to support team development.

  • Onshore Technical Collaboration: Partner directly with Australian onshore managers and client representatives to navigate complex technical tax positions and accounting queries.

  • Workflow Management: Manage individual workflow commitments efficiently, ensuring high accuracy, quality control, and timely delivery across assigned client accounts.

What You Bring

  • The Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience working in an Australian public accounting practice firm.

  • Technical Mastery: Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation, statutory financial reporting rules, GST/BAS, and trust accounting principles.

  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Australian accounting ecosystem platforms (such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, MYOB, HandiSoft, Xero Tax, or APS).

  • Review & Coaching Capability: Proven ability to review junior workpapers, flag technical discrepancies, and offer constructive coaching to improve team output.

  • Communication Prowess: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, allowing clear, direct, and professional collaboration with onshore Australian accounting teams and internal stakeholders.
