AU Senior Financial Accountant (Work From Home)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to perform senior and varied accounting functions across the business.

The role will have a strong focus on financial accounting, inventory and cost accounting, general ledger integrity, taxation, foreign currency accounting, month-end activities, and audit support.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential:

• Education & Credentials: Degree qualified; Licensed Philippine CPA.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of financial accounting experience with an Australian company.
• Industry Background: Background in wholesale, manufacturing, distribution, or similar product-based industries, with extensive experience in inventory management.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams, ERP systems, data downloading, and analytics.
• Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational and time-management skills, proactive leadership, sound judgment in problem-solving, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.

Desirable:

• Systems: Hands-on proficiency in Infor M3 ERP (or similar ERP software like Oracle/SAP), Power BI, and finance-related AI tools.
• AU Credentials: Membership in an Australian professional accounting organization (CA or CPA), or currently progressing through the Australian CA/CPA program.

Key Responsibilities

• Banking & Treasury: Reconcile cash at bank balances to the general ledger and post daily cash journals.
• Asset Management: Maintain the Group Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and major capital expenditure (CAPEX) register.
• Cost Accounting & Inventory: Reconcile all absorbed costs into purchased inventory (including freight and customs duties) with cost accounting entries to the ledger; reconcile general ledger accounts related to inventory cost adjustments to margin.
• Accounts Receivable: Prepare monthly reporting of Group trade debtors and the receivables position for key personnel.
• Taxation: Prepare and complete monthly and annual working files for Australian company taxation compliance.
• General Ledger Integrity & Month-End: Reconcile key balance sheet accounts at month-end, post associated general journals, and review key P&L balances to determine required accruals, prepayments, and CAPEX reclassifications.
• FX Accounting: Reconcile general ledger accounts related to foreign currency receivables/payables, including realized foreign currency gain/loss on profit.
• Work Health & Safety (WHS): Take reasonable care for personal psychological and physical health and safety; actively promote a safe working environment and support safety expectations across the team.
• General & Culture: Maintain high standards of professional customer service with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and visitors; perform other reasonable tasks requested by management.

Stakeholder Relationships

• Internal: Financial Controller, CFO, Finance Team, Credit Team, Operational Managers.
• External: Auditors, Banking Partners, Regulators.

Working Hours & Schedule

• Schedule: Fixed AU Shift (Aligned with Australian Business Hours).
