Location: Fully Remote

Company: MDus.ai

Job Type: Contract / Full-Time

Compensation range: $400 - $500

About MDus.ai

At MDus.ai, we are dedicated to delivering high-impact, premium video content. As our video library expands, maintaining an exceptional and unified audio experience across all platforms is essential. We are looking for a meticulous, detail-oriented Audio Engineer to join our remote team and take ownership of our audio quality control and post-production standards.

Role Overview

In this role, your primary responsibility will be quality assurance and audio consistency. You will review video content prior to publishing, perform audio fixes, and ensure all sound elements adhere to strict loudness standards and brand signatures across social media and web channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audio Review (Primary Focus): Review audio for all MDus.ai videos before publication. Identify and flag inconsistencies in levels, tone, EQ, background noise, and pacing.
  • Consistency Control: Maintain a coherent and unified sound signature across our entire media library, including loudness targets, voiceover treatment, music style, and SFX usage.
  • Corrective Work & Post-Production: Perform essential audio fixes, including spectral noise reduction, audio restoration, re-balancing, mixing, and final mastering.
  • Loudness Standards Compliance: Ensure all final audio deliveries adhere strictly to platform-specific loudness targets (e.g., social platforms vs. web/streaming).
  • Standards & Guidance: Maintain and update a concise Audio Spec Sheet (covering loudness targets, file formats, naming conventions, and best practices) and advise the production team on sound best practices.
  • Light Production Support: Provide occasional audio editing or mixing support on new content initiatives as capacity permits.

Key Deliverables
  • Regular Audio QA passes on individual videos or video batches prior to release, accompanied by clear, actionable feedback notes.
  • Corrected, re-mixed, and fully mastered audio files whenever issues are detected.
  • A living, up-to-date Audio Standards & Spec Sheet for internal video producers and editors.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven experience in audio post-production, mixing, mastering, and audio QA for digital video content.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong expertise in industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, or Reaper) and audio restoration toolkits (e.g., iZotope RX).
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of digital audio fundamentals, LUFS/LKFS loudness standards across different distribution platforms, EQ, compression, and noise reduction techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: Critical listening skills with an ability to spot minor acoustic flaws, level jumps, and tonal discrepancies across large volumes of video content.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills to deliver concise notes and guide editors on audio best practices.

How to Apply

If you have a sharp ear for quality and a passion for crafting clean, consistent audio, we’d love to hear from you!
