• Great AV installations start with drawings that are accurate, coordinated, and ready to build from.
  
• As our Audio Visual CAD Drafter, you’ll work remotely with one of our US clients, turning AV system requirements into clear, technically accurate drawings and documentation for project and installation teams.
  
• Using AutoCAD as your primary platform, supported by Revit/BIM and AV design tools, you’ll produce construction and shop drawings covering signal flows, elevations, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, schedules, infrastructure, and as-built documentation.
  
• You’ll help make sure the details work before they ever reach the job site—because a well-built AV system starts with a drawing people can confidently build from.
  

• Produce detailed AV drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  
• Create AV construction and shop drawing packages.
  
• Develop signal flow and line diagrams.
  
• Create rack and wall elevations.
  
• Produce floor plans and reflected ceiling plans.
  
• Develop device and cable schedules.
  
• Create plate and panel details.
  
• Produce conduit and infrastructure risers.
  
• Review architectural and MEP drawings for AV conflicts.
  
• Coordinate backboxes, conduit, power, data, structural backing, and ceiling devices.
  
• Revise drawings based on engineering redlines, RFIs, change orders, and field feedback.
  
• Maintain CAD blocks, title blocks, layers, and templates.
  
• Create new CAD blocks when required.
  
• Manage drawing revisions and document control.
  
• Support display sizing, sightlines, and viewing angles.
  
• Support speaker and microphone coverage layouts.
  
• Assist estimating and sales teams with preliminary layouts and proposal documentation.
  
• Prepare submittal packages and as-built documentation.
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of CAD drafting experience.
  
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency.
  
• Revit experience, including BIM coordination, families, and worksharing.
  
• Understanding of AV systems and signal flow across audio, video, control, and networked AV.
  
• Ability to interpret architectural, electrical, and construction drawings.
  
• Knowledge of AVIXA standards.
  
• Knowledge of structured cabling practices.
  
• AVIXA CTS certification.
  
• Experience with tools such as D-Tools, Visio, Bluebeam Revu, or XTEN-AV.
  
• Familiarity with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, Microsoft Teams Rooms/Zoom Rooms, and Dante/AV-over-IP.
  
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  

• CTS-D certification.
  
• Direct commercial AV drafting experience.
  
• CAD/BIM experience within low voltage, electrical, structured cabling/telecommunications, security/CCTV/access control, MEP, architectural or construction drafting, BIM coordination, or systems integration.
