About the role:

This role is responsible for managing and enhancing GM Financial’s enterprise Audio/Visual infrastructure, including conference room technology, digital signage, system administration, and operational support. The position leads AV-related projects, drives technology improvements and automation, ensures system reliability and compliance, and provides technical expertise and exceptional customer service across the organization.

In this role you will:

• Manage all Audio / Video Equipment for Conference Rooms, Training Rooms, and Digital signage throughout GM Financial
• Create and maintain Conference Room and Training Room experiences with room automation technologies such as Creston and others
• Deploy and Maintain Digital Signage Infrastructure throughout GM Financial
• Provide internal and external customers with excellent customer service while striving to provide world-class service
• Effectively communicates current status of all projects, problems, and issues to the department ITS Facilities AVP
• Proactively identifies opportunities for improvements to existing processes and for automation of time consuming tasks
• Manage projects and provide vision and technical direction to oversee and ensure prompt completion of projects
• Provide design support and consultation for departmental and enterprise projects
• Attend departmental, project and general meetings and effectively represent current status as appropriate
• Manage operational support of corporate, branch, and service center operations
• Ensure that all systems are running at optimal capacity
• Study and analyze the performance and capacities of the systems and prepare plans for future expansion and upgrades
• Procure hardware and software consistent with the company's requirements and following all appropriate processes
• Participate in company provided training and perform independent training as appropriate
• Conduct audit compliance assessments and initiate corrective action
• Resolve incident management tickets as they arise and ensure timely resolution
• Evaluate, perform, and delegate system administrative functions as appropriate
• Evaluate and install system patches and system updates as directed
• Perform critical system changes after business hours
• Adhere to all company authored policy, procedure and standards documents
• Author policy, procedure and standards documents based on industry best practices and personal research and experience
• Collaborate with the department ITS Facilities AVP to develop and maintain professional network and business relationships with vendors, peer organizations, and other business contacts
• Provide technical and operational support in all technology areas
• Assist with new technology research in order to stay abreast of the latest developments in technology, trends, and knowledge, and legislation
• Assist with making changes to system platform designs as needed
• Development of goals, objectives, and unit work plans in coordination with the IT strategic planning process
• Determining the direction and enhancement of the AV systems to meet the needs of the organization
• Identify and evaluate third party vendors, technology, or processes for integration with GM Financials technology and equipment
• Direct selected product research and support other technology and evaluation projects
• Participate in an on-call support rotation for providing after-hours support

• Advanced knowledge of IBM pSeries hardware, operating systems and TSM backup infrastructure
• Advanced knowledge of the OSI model and security that is associated with each layer
• Understanding of routing and switching protocols as they relate to load balancing
• Understanding of application layer protocols including HTTP, SSH, SSL, and DNS
• Knowledge and stay abreast on the latest security and privacy legislation, regulations, advisories, alerts and vulnerabilities
• Knowledge of IT security processes and controls as well as IT infrastructure and networking technical knowledgeAbility to think strategically and make collaborative decisions
• Ability to apply structured analysis methods to various types of data to establish trends, determine variability and business impact
• Communicates quickly, clearly, concisely, appropriately, and intelligently
• Foster open communication, speaks with impact, listens to others, and writes effectively
• Experience with alternate management methods using SSH, serial connections, and the command-line interface TMSH
• Ability to effectively negotiate with vendors on upgrades and acquisitions

• Strong level IT security processes and controls knowledge as well as IT infrastructure and networking technical knowledge
• Ability to approach problems with an open-mind and create new and innovative ideas and methods
• Strong technical writing
• Experience in documentation tools such as Visio and Microsoft Office products
• Information security standards/frameworks (i.e., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001) skills
• Advanced experience with Network and VLAN segmentation
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to approach problems with an open-mind, use existing information and resources

• Limited travel may be required to support business needs

Additional Knowledge and Skills

Working effectively within an AI enabled environment:

• Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work
• Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
• Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights
• Familiarity with AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation
• Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection

Work Experience & Education

• 5-7 years of Audio and Video management preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience required
