Show job description
Love the technical side of accounting but ready for more autonomy, better compensation, and a practice that actually values your expertise?
This isn't your typical Audit Manager role.
You'll work with sophisticated real estate investors, high-net-worth families, trusts, and private foundations, handling complex financial reporting, audits, and accounting projects that go well beyond routine engagements.
The best part? You'll have the freedom to own your work, direct access to experienced partners, and the resources of a larger organization without layers of corporate bureaucracy.
Why You'll Want to Take a Look
  • $150K–$180K base + bonuses paid twice annually
  • Remote flexibility with optional hybrid work
  • Flexible PTO and reduced hours or time off during slower periods
  • Day-one medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match
  • Sophisticated clients across real estate, partnerships, private wealth, and family offices
  • Hands-on technical work with real ownership of engagements
  • Modern, paperless environment investing in AI to eliminate repetitive tasks
  • Stable, long-tenured team with opportunities for continued advancement
What You'll Own
  • Prepare compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements, including GAAP and income tax basis reporting and footnote disclosures
  • Handle complex real estate partnerships, multi-tier entities, trusts, closely held businesses, and private foundations
  • Prepare personal financial statements for high-net-worth individuals and families
  • Perform private foundation audits and complex financial reporting
  • Research and resolve technical accounting issues involving consolidations, equity-method investments, fair value, and leases
  • Take on forensic accounting, transaction tracing, reconciliations, and special projects
  • Manage engagements from trial balance through final reporting, working directly with clients, controllers, CFOs, and partners
What You'll Bring
  • CPA or CPA candidate with strong, relevant experience
  • Minimum 5–7 years of public accounting experience, including at least 3–5 years of hands-on audit, review, and compilation work. More experienced professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and experience preparing complete financial statements and disclosures
  • Experience with real estate entities, partnerships, high-net-worth clients, or private foundations
  • Ability to independently manage engagements and deliver accurate, review-ready financial statements
  • Strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in solving complex accounting problems
Extra credit: Private industry experience, partnership accounting, consolidations, forensic accounting, or tax-basis reporting.
You don't need to be a tax specialist. This role is built for someone with exceptional accounting fundamentals and real audit experience.
