Role Description The Audit Analyst role is a part-time position based in Budapest, Hungary, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some tasks to be completed from home. The Audit Analyst will support audit engagements by reviewing financial records, testing controls, and assisting in the preparation of work papers and audit documentation. Daily responsibilities include analyzing accounting data, verifying compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and helping identify risks or irregularities in financial statements. The role involves close collaboration with senior auditors and accounting teams, preparing clear summaries of findings, and contributing to client-ready reports. The Audit Analyst will also participate in internal meetings, help improve audit processes, and maintain accurate records in line with firm policies.

Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and detect inconsistencies.
- Solid knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles, including familiarity with financial statements and basic reporting standards.
- Foundational Auditing skills, such as understanding audit procedures, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written reporting and professional interaction with team members and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and a responsible approach to handling confidential information.
- Proficiency with Excel and common accounting or audit software; willingness to learn new tools.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment; good time management for part-time hours.
- Previous internship or experience in audit, accounting, or financial analysis is an advantage.
- Professional interest in Hungarian and international accounting and auditing standards.
