• Building & General Construction – Residential, commercial, multi-residential, and industrial projects
  

• Civil & Structural Works – Earthworks, concrete, structural steel, and infrastructure
  

• Demolition – Residential and commercial demolition, strip-outs, and site clearance
  

• Fit-Out & Renovations – Office and retail fit-outs, refurbishments, and interior works
  

• Carpentry & Joinery – Timber framing, cabinetry, custom joinery, and architectural woodwork
  

• Roofing & Cladding – Metal roofing, external cladding, façade systems, and roof installations
  

• HVAC & Mechanical Services – Heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and mechanical installations
  

• Electrical Services – Electrical installations, lighting, power systems, and associated works
  

• Plumbing & Hydraulic Services – Plumbing, drainage, pipework, and hydraulic systems
  

• Flooring & Tiling – Floor finishes, wall tiling, and specialist flooring installations
  

• Painting & Plastering – Painting, plasterboard, rendering, and finishing works
  

• Windows, Doors & Glazing – Aluminium windows, doors, glazing, and related installations
  

• Landscaping & External Works – Landscaping, fencing, paving, and external improvements
  

• Quantity Surveying & Cost Planning – Quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost planning, and tender documentation
  

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your area of specialisation, your responsibilities may include:

• Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, plans, specifications, and tender documents.
  

• Conducting accurate material take-offs, measurements, and quantity calculations.
  

• Preparing detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  

• Calculating material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  

• Requesting and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  

• Preparing tender submissions, pricing schedules, and cost breakdowns.
  

• Identifying discrepancies, potential cost risks, and opportunities for cost optimisation.
  

• Assisting with variations, cost planning, and project budget monitoring.
  

• Coordinating with builders, project managers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements.
  

• Ensuring estimates are accurate, well-documented, and submitted within agreed timelines.
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying, or a related role.
  

• Experience working on Australian construction projects is highly desirable.
  

• Ability to interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
  

• Knowledge of construction materials, labour costs, measurement methods, and estimating principles.
  

• Experience preparing take-offs, cost estimates, BOQs, or tender submissions.
  

• Proficiency in relevant estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
  

• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
