Australian Tax Accountant | Australian Public Practice | Permanent WFH

Job Description This is a remote position. Want to build real depth in Australian tax and compliance work across a genuinely varied client base — property developers, builders, pharmacy retailers, and medical professionals — without the commute? We're looking for a skilled Tax Accountant to join a growing Australian business services practice, working fully remote. What You'll Do ● Prepare income tax returns for a varied client base ● Prepare and lodge GST/BAS compliance work ● Prepare financial statements ● Manage tax compliance across multiple client files and deadlines ● Apply working knowledge of Australian taxation law to client-specific situations ● Communicate clearly with the team and clients on the status and detail of their work Requirements What You'll Need ● Previous experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm preparing Australian tax returns is essential ● CA/CPA accreditation, or genuinely working towards it ● Minimum accounting degree ● Experience preparing Australian tax compliance work (income tax returns, GST/BAS) using Xero and HandiLedger ● Strong written and spoken English ● Ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines concurrently ● Able to identify issues, apply sound judgement, and escalate complex tax matters where appropriate ● High level of confidentiality and professionalism handling sensitive client financial data Strongly Preferred ● Experience with MYOB and/or HandiTax ● Experience working with property development, building, pharmacy retail, or medical professional clients Benefits What's On Offer ● ₱65,000–70,000/month ● 13th month pay ● HMO coverage ● 15 annual leave + 5 sick leave + 20 PTO credits upon regularisation ● Comprehensive training ● 100% work from home ● Full-time, permanent position with an established Australian accounting practice ● Staff events ● Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Australian Eastern Time
