Auto Claims Representative
Virginia Farm Bureau is seeking a customer-focused Auto Claims Representative (ACR) to join our claims team. The ACR is responsible for preparing automotive repair estimates which accurately reflect the reasonable dollar cost of damage sustained and settle total loss vehicles on behalf of the company.
POSITION LEVEL AND CAREER PROGRESSION
This position may be filled at one of several levels depending on a candidate's experience, technical expertise, education, and demonstrated ability. We are actively seeking qualified candidates ranging from entry-level adjusters to highly experienced auto claims professionals.
Career levels 1-3 include: Auto Claims Representative (ACR), Auto Claims Specialist (ACS), and Senior Auto Claims Representative (SACR). The core responsibilities are similar across all levels; however, higher levels assume increased claim complexity, greater authority, higher settlement responsibility, advanced estimating expertise, mentoring expectations, and technical leadership responsibilities.
LEVEL EXPECTATIONS
Level 1 - ACR: Entry-level role responsible for investigating losses, preparing estimates, evaluating damages, communicating with insureds and contractors, and developing property claims expertise.
Level 2 - ACS: Performs ACR responsibilities with greater independence, handles more complex claims, exercises increased authority, and serves as a resource for claims handling and estimating questions.
Level 3 - SACR: Performs ACS responsibilities while managing higher-value and more complex losses, preparing larger estimates, exercising stronger decision-making authority, and mentoring less experienced team members.
