Salary: Up to €75,000 - €85,000 per annum + 10% bonus

Summary

We are working with a market-leading global packaging manufacturing company seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join their expanding IT team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing new tools and automations to enhance global business productivity within the IT organisation and beyond. This role requires a strong background in scripting and automation, with expertise in either PowerShell or Python, alongside hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure environments such as VMware, AWS, Azure, Windows Server, and Linux. Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools is also essential. The position offers a hybrid working model based in Breda, NL, and provides a competitive salary package including a performance bonus.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline IT infrastructure and operational processes.
• Manage and support virtualised environments and cloud platforms including VMware, AWS, and Azure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Maintain and enhance existing automation scripts and tools using PowerShell or Python.
• Work with ITSM tools to integrate automation workflows and improve service delivery.
• Support infrastructure monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with organisational standards and best practices in automation and infrastructure management.

Skills

• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Python
• Experience managing IT infrastructure: VMware, AWS, Azure, Windows Server, Linux
• Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) tools
• Automation and orchestration of IT processes
• Cloud platform management and optimisation
• Virtualisation technologies and administration
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) familiarity (desirable)
