Role Overview

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join one of our Nearshore teams working remotely for international clients accross The Netherlands, Germany and other European countries.

In this role, you will work extensively with PowerShell, Microsoft 365 technologies and workflow automation solutions, collaborating with IT teams and business stakeholders to translate operational needs into reliable, scalable automation solutions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement and maintain automation solutions for IT systems, with a strong focus on PowerShell scripting;
• Develop and manage advanced automated workflows using Microsoft SCORCH and/or ActiveBatch;
• Retrieve, manipulate and manage data from Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams, through Microsoft Graph API;
• Implement secure authentication and authorisation mechanisms using OAuth 2.0 and Azure AD;
• Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions;
• Troubleshoot and continuously improve automation processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reliability;
• Apply version control and collaborative development practices using Git.

What you are like

• Highly proficient in PowerShell scripting, with practical knowledge of developing and managing automated IT processes;
• Experienced with Microsoft SCORCH and/or ActiveBatch for workflow development and management;
• Proficient in Microsoft Graph API and working with Microsoft 365 services such as Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams;
• Good understanding of OAuth 2.0 and Azure AD, particularly for secure authentication and authorisation;
• Familiar with Git and collaborative software development practices;
• Familiarity with JSON, XML, CSV and YAML is valued;
• Knowledge of Azure Automation, Azure Function Apps, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery and/or C# is considered an advantage;
• Experience with workflow solutions such as Biomni Front Office and/or Power Automate is a plus;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to understand stakeholder needs and translate them into technical solutions;
• Proactive, autonomous and comfortable tackling new challenges, with a willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve through collaboration and constructive feedback;
• Have good communication skills in English - as you will collaborate daily with international teams.
