Role Description The Automation Engineer (Remote) is a full-time role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions that improve system reliability, efficiency, and scalability. Day-to-day activities include developing and configuring control systems, integrating automation with existing infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs. The Automation Engineer will perform root-cause analysis, troubleshoot complex automation issues, and ensure systems comply with performance, safety, and security standards. The role involves creating technical documentation, participating in code and design reviews, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across projects. As a remote position, the Automation Engineer will work independently while maintaining clear communication and coordination with global team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Automation and Robotics skills to design, implement, and optimize automated systems and workflows.
• Candidates should possess solid Process Control expertise to configure, monitor, and improve control systems for stability and performance.
• Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering knowledge to understand wiring, sensors, actuators, and system integration within automated environments.
• Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose, analyze, and resolve technical issues in automation and control systems.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, or industrial control software; scripting or programming languages used in automation (e.g., Python, C/C++, ladder logic) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with safety standards, cybersecurity best practices, and documentation in industrial or digital automation environments is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics), Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, remote, and multicultural team environment.
