Automation QA Engineer (Calypso, CATT)

What You’ll Do Review business and functional requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios, test cases, and expected results Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using the Calypso Automated Testing Tool Create reusable CATT components to improve automation coverage and regression-testing efficiency Execute manual and automated tests across front-to-back Calypso workflows Support System Integration Testing, regression testing, position-conversion testing, and User Acceptance Testing Validate workflows covering trade capture, pricing, risk, settlements, collateral, SWIFT messaging, and accounting postings Prepare, validate, and maintain test data required for functional and integration testing Coordinate with technical teams to support test-environment setup, configuration, and readiness Perform data validation and reconciliation across source systems, Calypso, and downstream platforms Validate interfaces, scheduled tasks, batch processes, reports, messages, and accounting outputs Record test results and maintain requirements-to-test traceability Identify, document, and track defects using Jira and Xray Participate in defect-triage sessions and provide clear reproduction steps, supporting evidence, and impact analysis Retest resolved defects and perform regression testing to confirm system stability Assist with test automation execution through CI/CD pipelines Support performance and security-testing activities as required Prepare test-execution reports, evidence packages, and readiness documentation Communicate test progress, blockers, defects, and risks to the QA Lead and project stakeholders Follow established testing standards, quality controls, and project governance processes What You Bring Hands-on experience testing Calypso implementations within capital markets or financial services Practical experience developing and executing automated tests using CATT Strong knowledge of software-testing principles, methodologies, and lifecycle processes Experience creating test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and test evidence Experience supporting System Integration Testing, regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing Understanding of front-to-back Calypso workflows, including: Trade capture, Pricing, Risk, Settlements, Collateral, SWIFT messaging, Accounting postings Experience validating Calypso interfaces, batch processes, scheduled tasks, and downstream outputs Strong data-validation and reconciliation skills Working knowledge of SQL for test-data analysis and backend validation Experience using Jira and Xray or comparable test- and defect-management tools Understanding of defect lifecycles, severity classifications, triage, and resolution tracking Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or Cucumber is considered an asset Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution is considered an asset Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with QA, development, functional, and business teams English level Upper-Intermediate Work Type: Remote Legal & Hiring Information Exadel is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion across minority, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, and more Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions Please note: this job description is not exhaustive.
