Automation Tester (Salesforce)
Are you passionate about using automation to improve software quality and accelerate delivery? Do you thrive in Agile environments where quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle rather than being treated as a final checkpoint? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for an Automation Tester (Salesforce) to join a collaborative, high-performing delivery team responsible for ensuring the quality, security and compliance of complex Salesforce solutions. Working within a DevSecOps environment, you'll play a key role in designing and implementing automated testing strategies across Salesforce platforms, integrations, APIs, and data migrations. You'll also help drive continuous improvement by introducing innovative testing practices, mentoring colleagues, and influencing quality engineering approaches across projects.
We can offer great career progression opportunities, ability to be based anywhere across the UK, benefits which you can flex to meet your needs, and training and development opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing, developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and reusable test assets across Salesforce platforms and integrations.
- Creating and executing automated functional, regression, integration, API and end-to-end test suites to support high-quality software delivery.
- Defining test strategies, test plans and risk-based approaches for complex testing requirements while ensuring alignment with delivery objectives.
- Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and supporting release validation, deployment verification and release governance activities.
- Leading testing activities, mentoring team members, coordinating defect management and providing quality metrics, reporting and recommendations.
- Championing quality engineering best practices, shift-left testing, DevSecOps principles and continuous improvement initiatives across delivery teams.
What you'll bring:
- Strong experience delivering test automation within Salesforce environments, including Lightning Experience, Flows, OmniStudio, Salesforce Clouds, integrations and custom Apex functionality.
- Expertise in test automation tools such as Provar, Tricentis/Tosca, CRT, Selenium or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of test management, test design techniques, defect management, software quality characteristics and test automation frameworks.
- Experience working within Agile and Scrum delivery teams, with knowledge of Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, API testing, integration testing and secure software delivery practices.
- ISTQB Foundation certification with advanced testing knowledge and experience of the full software development lifecycle.
It would be great if you had:
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification.
- PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner certification.
- Experience leading or mentoring testing teams.
- Experience working with third-party suppliers, including offshore delivery partners.
- Advanced knowledge of tools such as SQL, Java, PL/SQL, HP ALM or HP Quality Center.
- Experience supporting large-scale systems integration programmes and complex enterprise transformations.
If you're interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we're looking for, please do apply, we'd love to hear from you!
