The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Avantra Administrator to help elevate our enterprise SAP operations through intelligent monitoring, automation, and system management. In this role, you will ensure the Avantra platform operates securely, efficiently, and reliably across a complex business and technology landscape. You’ll collaborate with SAP Basis teams, cybersecurity, infrastructure engineers, application owners, and business stakeholders to drive operational excellence and strengthen system visibility, automation, and resilience.
Responsibilities:
As an Avantra Administrator, you will:
- Administer and maintain the Avantra platform, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and environment support across all landscapes.
- Manage user provisioning, authentication, permissions, and access controls in alignment with organizational security policies.
- Configure and support SAP monitoring—including system health, performance checks, background job monitoring, alerting, and automation policies.
- Monitor Avantra system performance, availability, logs, alerts, and automation jobs; troubleshoot failures and coordinate timely resolution.
- Maintain connectors, service accounts, agents, credentials, and secure access mechanisms across SAP and non‑SAP landscapes.
- Develop and enforce governance standards for monitoring templates, alert thresholds, naming conventions, documentation, credential handling, and version control.
- Partner with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to meet audit, backup, recovery, compliance, and continuity requirements.
- Support migration of monitoring and automation configurations between development, test, and production environments.
- Create and maintain operational procedures, runbooks, support guides, and technical documentation.
- Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for Avantra-related incidents, service requests, and problem management activities.
- Support license administration and usage tracking for Avantra platform components.
- Collaborate with SAP Basis, infrastructure, and application teams to troubleshoot monitoring gaps, alerting issues, performance concerns, and platform execution problems.
- Recommend platform improvements that enhance scalability, reliability, automation maturity, and operational visibility.
- Participate in release planning, testing, and change management processes.
- Support audit, reporting, and governance requirements for SAP monitoring and automated operational workflows.
- Provide end‑user and administrator training on dashboards, alerting, reporting, scheduling, and best practices.
- Work within Agile delivery teams, contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and platform enhancement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance.
- Ability to meet DoD 8140 requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise monitoring platforms, SAP operations, or business systems administration.
- Experience administering Avantra or a comparable enterprise SAP monitoring/automation platform.
- Strong understanding of:
• Server configuration and maintenance
• User/security administration
• Monitoring, scheduling, and alert management
• Troubleshooting performance issues, job failures, and alerting gaps - Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience integrating enterprise monitoring tools with SAP and related operational support systems.
- Familiarity with authentication and identity technologies (Okta, Active Directory, SSO, etc.).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Experience supporting SAP landscapes with SAP Basis, infrastructure, and application teams.
Desired:
- Experience in DoD, federal, or other highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with SAP operations, including SAP S/4HANA monitoring and administration.
- Experience supporting enterprise platforms in finance, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or ERP domains.
- Experience working with cloud-hosted or hybrid enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Splunk, and other ticketing/monitoring tools.
- Exposure to Agile delivery frameworks (e.g., SAFe).
- Hands-on experience with SAP Basis, system monitoring, or infrastructure automation.
- Avantra training or certification.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
