Service Owner – Customer Telemetry

AirTrunk is a technology company with a powerful purpose - to scale and sustain the relentless growth of the region's digital future. We do this by continuously redefining and delivering hyperscale data centres that meet the needs of our customers - the world's most transformational companies. And we're doing so sustainably, for today and tomorrow.

Having opened Australia's first and largest hyperscale data centres in 2017, we set our eyes on rapid expansion and now operate a platform of hyperscale data centres across the APME region. With backing from our investors, including Blackstone, this is just the beginning...

Come join the A-Team at AirTrunk, where the cloud meets the ground.

Your Impact

As Service Owner - Customer Telemetry, based in Revantage’s Bangalore office, you will report to the Practice Lead - Data Centre Applications and partner closely with Data Centre Operations, Technology, Engineering, Data, Information Security, customer-facing teams, vendors and managed services teams. You will be the face of customer telemetry to the Data Center Operations team and customers for the applications and streaming capability that deliver customer telemetry, making your mark in a number of ways:

Shape a reliable and scalable customer telemetry capability that meets agreed data, timeliness, security and availability requirements across AirTrunk's growing portfolio.

Lead the evolution of event-streaming platforms, including Confluent Platform, and the applications, connectors and controls that move operational data to authorised consumers.

Improve confidence in customer telemetry by strengthening data quality, observability, resilience, lifecycle management and end-to-end service ownership.

What you'll do

Strategy and roadmap: Support the customer telemetry solution roadmap with the Practice Lead and stakeholders, aligning platform capacity, lifecycle plans and investment priorities to customer commitments and enterprise technology strategy.

Solution design and architecture: Support the end-to-end design of secure, resilient and scalable telemetry solutions spanning event ingestion, streaming, transformation, distribution, integrations, storage where required, observability and supporting infrastructure or cloud services.

Customer requirements: Translate customer telemetry requirements and service commitments into clear data contracts, interface specifications, non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria and sustainable support arrangements.

Event-streaming platform: Own the technical design and evolution of Confluent Platform and related streaming services, including clusters, brokers, topics, partitions, replication, connectors, schema services, security and administration tooling.

Data pipelines and integration: Define and assure reliable data flows from operational source systems such as DCIM, BMS, EPMS and metering platforms through streaming and integration services to authorised customer and enterprise destinations.

Data contracts and quality: Support establishment of standards for schemas, metadata, naming, compatibility, validation, lineage, retention and ownership. Implement controls to detect missing, late, duplicated, malformed or unexpected telemetry.

Security and access: Design authentication, authorisation, encryption, certificate and secret management, network segmentation, audit logging and customer isolation controls in partnership with Information Security and infrastructure teams.

Reliability and resilience: Define availability, latency, throughput, capacity, recoverability and continuity requirements. Lead capacity planning, performance testing, backup, recovery and disaster-recovery arrangements for telemetry services.

Observability and service performance: Implement end-to-end monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing and service dashboards that show platform health, pipeline performance, delivery status and compliance with SLAs or service-level objectives.

Technical leadership: Direct delivery partners, platform engineers, data and integration specialists, software suppliers and managed service providers; act as the primary technical point of contact for customer telemetry solutions.

Governance and assurance: Own technical assurance across design, build, test and deployment, ensuring compliance with AirTrunk architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, data governance, operational resilience and change-management standards.

Delivery and transition: Support estimation, planning, environment preparation, configuration, integration, migration, testing, cutover, release and transition to support. Identify risks, dependencies and decisions early and drive them to resolution.

Operational excellence: Oversee platform and pipeline health in live mission-critical environments. Support incident, problem, change and release management, lead technical investigation and drive permanent fixes for recurring issues.

Platform lifecycle: Guide versions, patches, upgrades, configuration, licences, certificates, environments, technical documentation and decommissioning, ensuring controlled change and sustainable support arrangements.

Vendor and stakeholder leadership: Build trusted relationships across Data Centre Operations, Technology, Data and customer-facing teams, and hold vendors and service partners accountable for SLAs, KPIs, quality, knowledge transfer and improvement.
