Position Summary: The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Project Management champions strategic leadership, operational effectiveness, and continued maturity of Achieva Credit Union's Project Management Office (PMO). This hands-on leadership role oversees enterprise portfolio governance, project management standards, project delivery methodology, and PMO team performance while directly leading and supporting high-priority strategic initiatives. The AVP serves as a trusted advisor to Executive Leadership and business leaders, translating organizational strategy into prioritized initiatives, resource plans, and measurable business outcomes. This role advances project management maturity across the organization, improves portfolio visibility, strengthens governance practices, and ensures successful delivery of projects and programs that support Achieva's strategic goals, member experience objectives, operational effectiveness, and regulatory requirements. The AVP develops and leads a high-performing PMO team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and execution excellence. What you can expect in this role: Lead, coach, and develop our Project Management team Provide oversight and direction for enterprise-wide projects and strategic initiatives Drive project and portfolio governance, prioritization, reporting, and resource planning Leverage current project management technology and portfolio tools to improve visibility, collaboration, and decision-making Partner with executive and business leaders across Achieva to keep priorities aligned and projects moving forward What we’re looking for: 10+ years of progressive project, program, or portfolio management experience 5+ years of experience leading teams and complex organizational initiatives Experience supporting and leading a Project Management Office Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience PMP certification required or strongly preferred Financial institution experience strongly preferred Location matters: This is a hybrid position with regular on-site work at our corporate headquarters in Dunedin, Florida .
