AWS Cloud Engineer

Role Overview Sopra Steria is recruiting an AWS Platform Engineer to work alongside our architecture teams delivering AWS solutions to our customers in a repeatable fashion. You will be using Infrastructure as Code to automate AWS services and develop IP that differentiates us in the market. You will live and breathe Dev(Sec)Ops principles, have an automate first mentality and have in depth knowledge across AWS IaaS and PaaS services. You will help our development teams build and execute application CI/CD pipelines and work with our customers to help mature their cloud operations. Key Responsibilities Automating AWS infrastructure build and management using AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK and Terraform Deploying automated AWS solutions as part of larger projects or programmes Propose and work on new IP for products and services for GTM initiatives. Serve as a Technical Lead for a specific domain within the capability. Manages the delivery of major tasks & assignments or projects Attends complex customer workshops or calls Uses their recognised expertise to resolve issues Ensures the relevance and quality of solutions, is responsible for validating all deliverables within their scope Identifies and controls risks Contributes to steering product developments in liaison with Practice Lead Contributes to the knowledge-building process in their domain, provides product training Manages and contributes to career monitoring and advancement of employees Technical Skills AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional Expert with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform, AWS CLI and AWS Tools for PowerShell). AWS IaaS (Amazon EC2, Amazon EBS, Amazon S3, Amazon VPC, security). AWS Backup and recovery services (AWS Backup, AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery, Amazon S3 Glacier). AWS Governance (AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies, tagging, AWS Cost Explorer and AWS Budgets). AWS Databases (Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon DynamoDB and databases on Amazon EC2). AWS Security (Zero Trust principles, AWS IAM, IAM Identity Center, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, KMS, Macie and AWS WAF). AWS Serverless and integration (AWS Batch, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, SNS and API Gateway). AWS Containers (Amazon EKS, Amazon ECS, AWS Fargate and Amazon ECR). Identity and directory services (AWS IAM Identity Center, Amazon Cognito, AWS Directory Service and on premises AD DS). On premises infrastructure, virtualisation technologies or applications Experience with Windows Server\Linux OS. Development languages such as Python (Desirable)
