AWS Devops Platform Engineer (Baseline/NV1)

Federal Government Contract | Senior AWS Platform Engineer | Australia

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior AWS Platform Engineer for a 12-month Federal Government contract, with 2 x 12-month extension options.

Location: Australia – WA, ACT, VIC, NSW, NT, SA and TAS

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Start Date: 1 December 2026

Contract Duration: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extensions

Experience: Senior / EL1 equivalent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Mandatory Requirements:

• Must be based in Australia.
• Must be an Australian citizen.
• Must hold an active Baseline /NV1 Security Clearance

Key Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on AWS Cloud Engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes administration.
• AWS infrastructure management, automation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with IAM, IRSA, RBAC, WAF and secrets management.
• CI/CD pipeline experience using Azure DevOps and ArgoCD.
• Monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch or Dynatrace.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong production support, incident management and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of Australian Government security frameworks, including ISM and Essential Eight.

Desirable:

• Previous Federal Government or enterprise environment experience.
• AWS or Kubernetes certifications.
• Experience with GitOps and infrastructure automation.
