AWS Technical Architect

Role Overview

As an AWS Technical Architect you will be responsible for delivering and implementing AWS solutions for our clients. The Technical Architect will design AWS solutions across infrastructure, platform and cloud-native services and will be comfortable presenting these solutions to clients in workshops and demonstrations. The Senior Architect will manage the end-to-end delivery working with other Architects and Consultants to ensure our projects are delivered with time and quality a key objective. You will mentor junior members of the team and encourage a collaborative working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with clients demonstrate how their cloud strategy aligns with AWS technology.
• Creating low level architectural designs based on customer requirements.
• Deliver product presentations and configured demonstrations to prove our ability to meet a prospect’s cloud adoption needs.
• Act as the Technical Design Authority on projects alongside the Solution Architects.
• Provide governance to projects and mentor members of the team.
• Showcase our propositions to customers via online webinars and face to face workshops.
• Engage with stakeholders and ensure our solutions are understood throughout the firm.
• Work on proposals and RFI’s alongside the sales and pre-sales teams.
• Maintaining technical knowledge by working closely with our AWS account teams.
• Assist in the recruitment process for the team.
• Propose and work on new IP for products and services for GTM initiatives.
• Serve as a Technical Lead for a specific domain within the capability.
• Manages the delivery of major tasks & assignments or projects
• Facilitates complex customer workshops
• Uses their recognised expertise to resolve issues
• Ensures the relevance and quality of solutions, is responsible for validating all deliverables within their scope
• Ensures compliance with contractual commitments and the application of quality and security processes in their domain
• Identifies and controls risks
• Convinces others of the added value of proposed solutions and remains fully engaged in that purpose
• Contributes to pre-sales in AWS offerings and helps identify sales opportunities
• Contributes to steering product developments in liaison with Practice Lead
• Contributes to the knowledge-building process in their domain, provides product training
• Manages and contributes to career monitoring and advancement of employees
