AX-22 Database Administrator

Job Summary

Oceans Code Experts is looking for a skilled AX-22 Database Administrator to join our team. This role involves managing large-scale production environments for multiple clients, with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database. As a senior DBA, you will be responsible for building, troubleshooting, and optimizing database environments while ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and maintain database environments for multiple clients, including sizing, architecture definition, installation, configuration, schema design, and standards implementation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents on Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database platforms.
• Lead database migrations, version upgrades, and platform modernization initiatives with tested rollback plans.
• Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery architectures such as SQL Server Always-On, Oracle RAC, and Data Guard.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation to ensure continuous database operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud-based services and shared operations in heterogeneous environments.

Job Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a senior DBA in large-scale production environments supporting multiple clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database with expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience in high availability and disaster recovery architectures on SQL Server and Oracle platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT, or equivalent working experience.
• Strong knowledge of database administration best practices, including backup and recovery, security, and compliance.
• Experience in automation and scripting for database operations using tools like PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with database design, documentation, clustering, replication, and client-server applications.
• Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Azure Database Administrator Associate certification.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Database Administrator certification.
• AWS Certified Database - Specialty certification.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect or equivalent cloud database certification.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• Full-time consulting position.
• Up to 40 hours per week with flexible core hours.
• Fully remote.
