Location: Antwerp, Belgium

Duration: Minimum 12 Months

Working Pattern: 4 Days On-Site per Week

About the role

Our client in Antwerp is looking for an experienced AZ Accountant to support the finance function on a long-term freelance basis.

Main responsibilities

• Manage the full A-Z accounting cycle
• Perform bookkeeping and general ledger activities
• Prepare month-end and year-end closing activities
• Support group consolidation processes
• Assist with financial reporting and reconciliations
• Collaborate with finance teams across multiple entities
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
• Work within Microsoft Business Central on a daily basis

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience
• 10-15 years of experience preferred
• At least 1 year of Microsoft Business Central experience
• Proven experience in A-Z accounting
• Previous group consolidation experience
• Strong bookkeeping and financial reporting knowledge
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

This role would suit an experienced accountant looking to combine hands-on accounting responsibilities with group consolidation exposure in an international environment, as well as someone working across the wider business.
