Job Description This is a remote position. One of our clients in the technology services sector is looking for an experienced Azure Solutions Architect who will be a bridge between complex business problems and cutting-edge cloud solutions, designing end-to-end architectures on Microsoft Azure that are scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-optimized. Key Deliverables Design and implement complex Azure cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms. Lead the architectural design of cloud-native applications, microservices, and serverless architectures (Azure Functions, Logic Apps). Create high-level and low-level design documents, architecture diagrams, and technical roadmaps. Define infrastructure-as-code (IaC) strategies using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Partner with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and cost models. Provide thought leadership on cloud best practices, migration strategies (lift-and-shift vs. re-architecting), and cloud governance. Lead discovery workshops to assess existing on-premise or cloud environments and develop migration roadmaps. Implement robust security controls using Azure Security Center, Defender, and Sentinel, along with identity management via Azure AD and Entra ID. Ensure all solutions comply with industry standards (ISO, SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA) and internal security policies. Design network architectures including VNet, NSG, Firewall, VPN, and ExpressRoute configurations. Monitor and optimize Azure resource utilization to ensure high availability and disaster recovery (Azure Site Recovery). Implement FinOps best practices to track, manage, and optimize cloud spending. Establish performance benchmarks and SLAs for critical workloads. Mentor and guide development and operations teams on Azure principles and best practices. Conduct code reviews for infrastructure deployments and provide technical escalation support for complex issues. Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure services and features, evaluating them for potential business value. ​ Requirements Ideal Profile 7+ years of total experience in IT infrastructure, software development, or cloud architecture. 5+ years of dedicated experience specifically in Azure solution design and implementation. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is required. Deep expertise in Azure compute (VM, AKS, App Services), storage (Blob, SQL, Cosmos DB), and networking. Strong experience with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and CI/CD pipeline creation. Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, CLI, Python, or C#. Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical executives. Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to make high-stakes decisions under pressure.
