Job Overview

We are looking for a talented and driven Journalist based in the Philippines with at least two years of professional journalism experience, particularly in new media, digital publishing or B2B media.

The successful candidate must have an excellent command of written and spoken English and be confident interviewing senior business leaders and industry experts. This role is suitable for someone with strong news judgement who can turn complex business topics into clear, accurate and engaging stories for a professional audience.

Role Description

• Research, pitch and write original news stories, interviews, features and industry analysis.
• Monitor business and industry developments to identify timely and relevant stories.
• Interview senior executives, business leaders and industry experts.
• Produce content for websites, newsletters, social media and other digital platforms.
• Attend industry events, conferences and media briefings when required.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and sources.
• Work closely with editors and internal stakeholders across different markets.
• Manage multiple assignments while meeting editorial deadlines.
• Ensure all published content is accurate, well-researched and aligned with editorial standards.

Key Requirements

• At least two years of professional journalism or editorial experience.
• Experience in new media, digital publishing or B2B journalism is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognised university, preferably in Journalism, Communications, Media, English or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong interviewing, research, writing, editing and fact-checking skills.
• Good understanding of digital content and social media platforms.
• Ability to identify strong business stories and relevant industry angles.
• Confident in interviewing senior executives and industry leaders.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
