# Backend Developer – .NET / Azure / Kubernetes

## About the Role

Comparis.ch is looking for a **Backend Developer** to join its Marketplace team and contribute to one of Switzerland's largest real estate platforms. You will develop scalable backend services, build APIs, and help evolve the platform toward a modern cloud-native architecture based on **Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes**.

The role also involves modernizing the existing platform by migrating applications from the legacy .NET Framework stack to a modern, containerized environment and developing new backend applications using **.NET 10**.

## Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using **.NET Core and ASP.NET**.

* Develop and operate **REST APIs and microservices**.

* Work with **SQL Server and Azure Cosmos DB** to manage application data.

* Improve search functionality using **Elasticsearch**.

* Deploy and operate applications using **Docker and Kubernetes**.

* Ensure high standards for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

* Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and resolve production problems.

* Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers to deliver high-quality solutions.

* Contribute to the modernization of the platform architecture.

* Develop and modernize backend applications using **.NET 10**.

* Support the migration of existing applications from the legacy .NET Framework stack to a modern containerized environment.

## Required Qualifications

* Completed degree in **Computer Science, Engineering**, or equivalent practical experience.

* At least **3 years of professional experience in backend development**.

* Very good knowledge of **C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET**.

* Experience developing **RESTful APIs and microservices**.

* Experience with **SQL and NoSQL databases**.

* Experience with cloud platforms, ideally **Microsoft Azure**.

* Experience working in agile teams.

* Very good English language skills.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with **Docker and Kubernetes**.

* Experience with vector databases.

* Knowledge of Elasticsearch ranking and search optimization.

* Experience with event-driven architectures.

* Experience building data ingestion pipelines.
