Nuwai is looking for a developer who builds platforms and designs the interfaces that go with them. The role is project-based and fully remote.

Nuwai is the AI brand of Seazen GmbH in Wollerau, Switzerland. We build AI applications for Swiss SMEs, using their real data. Our team is small, and everyone on it builds.

You write the code and shape the interface

Our projects include admin panels, internal dashboards, online shops and customer portals. We also build interfaces for AI applications, such as agents that staff use in their daily work. You work on a project from the first sketch to the running system. There is no separate design team handing you screens.

What you bring

• Several years as a full-stack developer, with platforms in production that you built largely yourself.
• Vibe coding, meaning building software with AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor, is part of your everyday work. You know where generated code needs a careful review.
• You follow what’s new in AI and can judge what will actually hold up in a client project.
• At least five years of professional experience as a full-stack developer, with platforms in production that you built largely yourself.
• Experience in interaction design and UI/UX, shown in projects you can point to
• Working language is [English / German].

We build with Next.js, Python and Docker

Most of our projects run on Next.js and TypeScript, with Python services for data and AI work. Everything ships in Docker containers on Linux servers. You should be comfortable with most of the following:

• JavaScript and TypeScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS and component libraries such as shadcn/ui
• Backends in Node.js and Python (for example FastAPI), including REST APIs, authentication and user roles
• PostgreSQL with schema design and migrations, plus vector databases such as pgvector or Qdrant for search and retrieval
• Docker and Docker Compose, Linux servers, Git and CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions
• LLM APIs from Anthropic or OpenAI, embeddings and RAG, meaning a model that answers from a client’s own documents

Nice to have: Redis, an ORM like Prisma or Drizzle, end-to-end testing with Playwright, and experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or agent frameworks.

No fixed salary, but a steady flow of projects

You work as a freelancer and bill per project. Our rate is CHF 120/h. How many projects come in depends on our client work, so we can’t guarantee a minimum workload. You work directly with management, and what you build goes live at the client.
