Backend Developer (.NET, Azure)

WealthArc is a global financial data infrastructure company. We connect wealth managers, external asset managers, family offices and banks to their custodian data and turn it into clean, usable portfolio information through our platform: Connector, WealthArc Data Box (WDB), WISDOM, Prism and Creator, as well as our PMS, Viewer and agentic AI applications.
We are building a SaaS platform for the wealth management industry, supporting the integration, processing and delivery of financial data.

We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our engineering team and help us build and evolve our backend platform using C#/.NET and Azure.
We are looking for someone who can do more than just write good code. You should be comfortable understanding the business context behind a problem, working with domain models and taking ownership of the features you build - from requirements and implementation through testing and production deployment.
We care about good architecture, pragmatic DDD, ownership and thoughtful use of AI in software development.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend services using C#/.NET on Azure.
• Model business domains using DDD, including defining business rules, boundaries and contracts between components.
• Build and maintain APIs, integrations and financial data processing workflows.
• Ensure the correctness, performance and reliability of the solutions you build.
• Make pragmatic technical decisions and actively contribute to the evolution of the architecture.
• Work with existing code and gradually improve or modernize solutions where it brings real value.
• Use AI tools throughout the development process, from requirements analysis to implementation, while critically reviewing and validating the results.
• Work closely with AI Engineers to integrate AI-powered functionality with backend services.
• Own features end-to-end - from clarifying requirements through implementation and testing to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps and other Engineers.
• Share knowledge, participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the way the team works.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience developing backend applications with C#/.NET.
• Strong knowledge of C#/.NET and experience independently implementing production features.
• Practical experience with SQL / SQL Server / Azure SQL, including data modelling, queries, transactions and basic query optimization.
• Experience with REST APIs / HTTP, including endpoint implementation, validation and error handling.
• Practical understanding of DDD, SOLID and common design patterns.
• Experience with Azure App Service and/or Azure Functions and a practical understanding of Azure services.
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps / CI/CD.
• Basic experience with unit and integration testing.
• Ability to work with logs and application monitoring tools to diagnose issues.
• Basic understanding of asynchronous communication and technologies such as Azure Service Bus.
• Good problem-solving skills and a structured approach to diagnosing issues.
• Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written) and Polish.

• Experience with Azure Storage / Key Vault.
• Experience with Redis / caching.
• Experience with Application Insights / log analytics.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 / Entra ID.
• Experience with containers and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience integrating AI models or working with MCP.
• Practical experience using AI assistants or AI agents in software development.
• Experience with frontend development or an interest in working more end-to-end.
• Experience in fintech, financial services or data-intensive products

AI is already part of our everyday software development process. We use AI assistants and agents for requirements analysis, implementation and working with code.
At the same time, we care about using AI thoughtfully. You should be able to provide the right context, critically evaluate generated code and verify its correctness, security and alignment with the architecture.
