Backend Engineer (Cod: CS)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a proactive Backend Integration Engineer to join a dedicated engineering squad building headless integration services.
In this role, you will design and implement resilient backend pipelines that ingest billing and transactional documents from external software providers, process webhooks, manage automated retry policies, and feed normalized data into a central data standardization engine.
This initiative operates with a lean startup mindset where delivery momentum, pragmatic engineering, and the active adoption of AI-accelerated development tools are core to the workflow. You will establish clean, repeatable integration patterns that allow new third-party providers to be onboarded quickly and ensure the architecture is structured for an eventual internal handover.

Key Responsibilities:

● Architect and build headless backend services hosted on Azure using .NET or Python.
● Develop and maintain robust integration connectors to ingest transactional data and documents from external third-party software providers.
● Implement resilient webhook listeners, asynchronous event processing, intelligent retry mechanisms, and structured logging workflows.
● Ensure seamless, reliable end-to-end data delivery into downstream data normalization and standardization engines.
● Establish repeatable integration templates and patterns to accelerate the onboarding of subsequent software providers.
● Leverage modern AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development velocity and streamline routine implementation tasks.
● Maintain clean technical documentation and integration specifications to support seamless future knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
● Minimum of 4 years of professional backend engineering experience with a strong focus on system integrations and API development.
● Proven expertise with either .NET Core (C#) or Python within cloud environments.
● Solid hands-on experience building distributed systems on Microsoft Azure (Azure Functions, App Services, Service Bus, Event Grid, Application Insights).
● Strong experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, webhooks, and asynchronous message queues with reliable error handling and retries.
● Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
● Practical familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools to optimize daily delivery workflows.
● Advanced English level (C1) for collaborative technical alignment.
● Proactivity and agility, with the ability to move quickly, prioritize working solutions, and adapt smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
● Technical ownership, with a strong sense of responsibility over integration reliability, observability, and downstream data consistency.
● Ambiguity management, with the capacity to design clean abstractions and integration contracts even when third-party provider specifications are evolving.
