Salary Range: $26.00 To $28.00 Hourly Location: Santa Rosa, Sonoma County Job Type: PART-TIME Schedule: Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons. Must have afternoon and evening availability, Work Setting: Hybrid, in-home and remote Compensation: $26-$28 What You’ll Do Position Overview As a Behavior Interventionist Trainer at Burnett Therapeutic Services, you’ll help new and current Behavior Interventionists build the skills and confidence to provide effective, compassionate ABA services. This is a hybrid role combining Trainer and Behavior Interventionist responsibilities. You will be expected to maintain assigned client cases and provide direct, one-on-one services alongside your training duties. Working with clinical and training leadership, you’ll support staff development, model effective intervention strategies, and help clients progress toward their individualized goals. Key Responsibilities Provide initial and ongoing training, coaching, and support to Behavior Interventionists through in-person sessions, telehealth, role-play, and live or remote classes. Maintain assigned client cases, delivering one-on-one ABA services and implementing behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans under clinical supervision. Model effective session techniques, explain ABA principles, and demonstrate accurate implementation of client programs. Use Behavioral Skills Training (BST) to teach staff through instruction, modeling, rehearsal, and constructive feedback. Create a welcoming, supportive learning environment and address coaching challenges professionally and compassionately. Collect accurate data on client and trainee performance, complete session notes, and assess staff consistency in implementing programs and recording data. Assist clinical and training supervisors with client and trainee assessments, communicate training progress, and help resolve barriers to success. Collaborate with families and clinical teams, provide daily parent updates, and participate in team meetings and clinical observations. Coordinate training session schedules and manage adjustments or cancellations. Provide client session coverage when training needs are limited and travel to assigned client homes or session locations. Why Choose BTS? Qualifications Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for working with children and individuals. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Early Education, ABA, or related fields Must have an active RBT Certification At least 2 years of experience training Behavior Technicians Spanish-speaking is a plus! Ability to work independently and communicate effectively Reliability and a willingness to work with a variety of clients Ability to travel to a clinic and clients’ homes. Requirements Minimum 18 years of age. This job requires reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance. This job requires a CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding) This job requires a TB test (within 90 days), MMR & Varicella Immunization, and a Pre-employment Physical (within the past year).
