Behavioral Health Coordinator
Make a difference in people's lives by helping them access the behavioral health services and support they need.
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Behavioral Health Coordinator to support members in navigating mental health and substance use treatment services. In this role, you'll connect individuals with providers, coordinate care across healthcare and community resources, and provide ongoing outreach to ensure members remain engaged in treatment and receive timely support.
Responsibilities
- Connect members with behavioral health providers and assist with appointment scheduling.
- Conduct outreach and follow-up with members facing barriers to care.
- Educate members on available benefits, treatment options, and community resources.
- Coordinate care with providers, social workers, and community organizations.
- Facilitate referrals and ensure timely access to services.
- Connect members with support resources, including transportation, housing, and social services.
- Monitor member engagement and maintain accurate documentation.
- Manage caseloads and prioritize follow-up activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve member outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in behavioral health, care coordination, case management, managed care, or social services.
- Knowledge of mental health and substance use resources.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
Preferred
- Master's degree (MSW, Counseling, Psychology, or related field).
- Experience working with Medicaid/Medi-Cal populations.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Santa Barbara, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
