Description JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Behavioral Health Integration Manager Reports To: Chief Clinical Integration Officer Department: Behavior Health Integration FLSA Status: X Exempt or Non Exempt Union or X Non-Union Position Summary: The Behavior Health Integration Manager is a key behavioral health leader responsible for advancing Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services’ integrated care initiatives for older adults and individuals living with behavioral health challenges. This role combines clinical leadership, program development, staff supervision, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic growth to strengthen behavioral health services across the agency and community. The Behavior Health Integration Manager oversees SCES’ behavioral health programming while partnering with agency leadership to identify emerging community needs, develop innovative service models, strengthen healthcare partnerships, and support long-term program sustainability. This individual serves as a clinical resource across departments including Protective Services, Home Care, Care Transitions, and Family Caregiver Support, helping ensure person-centered, trauma-informed, and integrated approaches to care. Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards: Oversee the Executive Office of Aging and Independence (AGE)-funded behavioral health program, including referral management, clinical oversight, quality improvement activities, and required program reporting and data analysis. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of behavioral health clinicians and interns, fostering a collaborative, mission-driven, and clinically strong team culture. Provide clinical leadership and consultation on complex cases and actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support coordinated, person-centered care across the agency. Partner with the Chief Clinical Integration Officer to strengthen and expand behavioral health services, including identifying opportunities for program growth, innovation, and long-term financial sustainability. Collaborate with agency leadership to identify and pursue opportunities to strengthen community impact, and align behavioral health programming with evolving community and consumer needs. Build and strengthen relationships with local and regional healthcare providers, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, clinics, physician practices, and managed care organizations, to advance integrated models of care and community collaboration. Partner with the training & workforce development team to identify agency-wide clinical learning needs and support the development and delivery of behavioral health-related training initiatives. Lead the development and coordination of internship and field placement opportunities, including cultivating university partnerships, developing learning plans, and supporting the professional growth of emerging clinicians. Serve as a clinical resource to agency programs, including protective services and family caregiver support, through consultation, case support, and screening review as needed. Ensure compliance with HIPPA regulations, documentation standards, and applicable program requirements. Serve as back-up to the agency’s keeper of the record. Participate in the agency’s after-hours supervisor coverage rotation. Perform other related duties in support of SCES’ mission and strategic priorities. Communication: Skilled in verbal and written communication, demonstrating the ability to communicate information in various ways to meet diverse styles and cultural backgrounds. Analytical: Critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and opportunities of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Attendance and Punctuality: Dependable, punctual, showing flexibility when needed. Attends meetings as needed and is fully present and participates during those meetings. Aids in furthering SCES’s mission and commitment to an inclusive environment. Qualifications: LCSW plus a minimum of five years of relevant experience required. LICSW or LMHC preferred Relevant experience will include an extensive background in clinical social work, supervision and program development - within a non-profit human services setting preferred. Experience in Massachusetts Aging Network strongly preferred. Familiarity with managing programs with significant governmental involvement and reporting requirements and/or with quality assurance programs preferred. Must be knowledgeable and comfortable using Adobe and MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 platforms. Experience with Wellsky strongly preferred. Must meet both CORI/SORI and public health screening requirements. Physical Environment: Physical surroundings are comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or hazards. Social/Psychological Conditions: Occasional stress due to periodic or cyclical workload pressures and deadlines. Some interruptions involved. Physical Effort: Frequently sits, stands, walks, bends, reaches, and stoops throughout the day. Frequently lifts, pulls, pushes, and carries up to 20 lbs. Periodic eye strain and light ear strain. Annual Salary: $70K - $84K, based on experience and qualifications.
