About the Role
As a BI Product Manager, you will own the company’s financial data and Business Intelligence (BI) product. You will serve as a subject-matter expert across the Quote-to-Cash and Order-to-Cash domains, turning operational friction into data, analytics, and AI/ML opportunities. Working at the intersection of Sales, Legal, Accounting, and Product, you will ensure the data infrastructure supports business visibility, operational speed, and compliance. This role calls for a “hunter” mindset — proactively engaging cross-functional leaders to identify process gaps and convert
What You'll Do
- Stakeholder Outreach & Gap Mapping: Build relationships across internal FinSys teams (Orders, Invoicing, Billing) and finance leadership to surface operational friction points.
- Product Strategy & Discovery: Connect operational pain points to BI, Machine Learning, and AI opportunities, uncovering the "what" and "why" behind financial data needs.
- Functional Requirements & Specifications: Author clean PRDs, roadmaps, and non-technical business requirements, partnering closely with Technical Delivery Managers (TDMs) and engineering teams who architect the technical solutions.
- Cross-Domain Translation: Ensure complex commercial and financial processes (quoting, deal structuring, billing, and revenue recognition) are accurately captured in downstream data products.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of Product Management experience within Financial Systems, FinSys BI, Order-to-Cash, or Revenue Operations in SaaS or tech environments.
- Solid grasp of core accounting terminology, the contract lifecycle, billing, entitlement, and downstream revenue recognition (including ASC 606 impacts).
- Exceptional communication skills and high energy, with genuine comfort proactively reaching out to busy product managers, finance, and legal leaders to map processes and drive alignment.
- Proven ability to validate pricing, order, and contract data for troubleshooting, reporting, and building operational dashboards.
- Strong analytical, process mapping, and documentation skills, including experience defining non-technical functional specs for technical teams to execute.
- General understanding of ERPs (Workday, NetSuite, SAP) and CPQ/CLM tools (Salesforce CPQ, Zuora, Conga, Icertis, DocuSign CLM, Ironclad) and how their data flows into BI platforms.
- (Nice-to-have) Conceptual comfort with modern data stacks and the business applications of GenAI, LLMs, or predictive ML models within corporate finance.
- (Nice-to-have) Prior experience in a high-volume marketplace or enterprise sales environment with complex deal structures.
- (Nice-to-have) Background in contract analytics, obligation tracking, or process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) applied to financial systems.
