Job Description:

3M Health Care is now Solventum

At Solventum, we enable better, smarter, safer healthcare to improve lives. As a new company with a long legacy of creating breakthrough solutions for our customers’ toughest challenges, we pioneer game-changing innovations at the intersection of health, material and data science that change patients' lives for the better while enabling healthcare professionals to perform at their best. Because people, and their wellbeing, are at the heart of every scientific advancement we pursue.

We partner closely with the brightest minds in healthcare to ensure that every solution we create melds the latest technology with compassion and empathy. Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role:

  • Combines hands-on BI development with production support. Guided by direction, requirements, approved technical patterns, priorities and acceptance criteria from a BI Lead, the analyst builds assigned portions of Power BI solutions and Streamlit applications, including report pages, visuals, filters, calculations, semantic-model components, app screens, workflows and integrations. The role also tests, documents, supports deployment and delivers bounded production fixes. Take direction from a BI Lead and deliver assigned work against approved requirements, technical patterns, priorities and acceptance criteria.
  • Build and enhance assigned Power BI report pages, visuals, filters, drill-through, calculations and reusable report components.
  • Implement approved measures, calculated columns, relationships, field parameters and metadata in assigned semantic-model components without redefining business metrics.
  • Build assigned Streamlit screens, workflows, validations, interactions and supporting Python logic when included in solution scope.
  • Configure or support approved integrations with Snowflake, Dataverse, Power Automate, APIs and other governed services.
  • Triage Jira or ServiceNow tickets, reproduce defects and deliver bounded fixes for calculations, filters, refreshes, access, downloads, write-back, formatting, workflows and mismatched values.
  • Create and execute unit, regression and UAT tests, validate results against acceptance criteria and document evidence and required approvals.
  • Maintain technical documentation, ticket notes, release evidence, known-error records and troubleshooting guides, and support approved deployments. The analyst implements assigned components and bounded production fixes, but the BI Lead retains ownership of architecture, metric definitions, complex design, security exceptions and final release approval. Cross-domain semantic-model changes and related decisions also escalate to the data platform lead, product owner or security owner as appropriate.
  • Assigned Power BI or Streamlit components meet BI Lead requirements, approved patterns and acceptance criteria with minimal rework.
  • Production tickets and fixes meet service targets with complete root-cause, test and release evidence, and repeat defects decline.
  • Changes pass regression and UAT testing, are documented and deploy without avoidable service interruption or boundary violations.

Your skills & expertise (Minimum qualifications):

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Hands-on Power BI development experience is required, including report authoring.
  • Hands-on Power BI development experience with visuals, filters and interactions.
  • Hands-on Power BI development experience with DAX or comparable calculations.
  • Hands-on Power BI development experience with semantic models.
  • Demonstrated experience building BI components from defined requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience enhancing analytical application components from defined technical patterns.
  • Demonstrated BI or analytical application development experience, not only ticket support.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data integrations.
  • Working knowledge of refresh processes and role-based access.
  • Working knowledge of systematic production troubleshooting.
  • Experience with structured testing, change control, technical documentation, deployment support and clear stakeholder communication.

Additional qualifications (Nice to have):

  • Practical Streamlit experience building data applications is strongly preferred.
  • Practical Python experience building data applications is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Power Platform.
  • Experience with Snowflake SQL.
  • Experience with APIs.
  • Experience with Git.
  • Experience with deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with Jira.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Experience with UAT tooling.
  • Tableau experience is a plus, not a requirement.
