Job Description This is a remote position. The Opportunity: At Pentoz, we’re accelerating digital commerce by crafting high-performance, conversion-optimized online stores. As a BigCommerce Developer, you’ll lead the design, development, and deployment of custom eCommerce websites using the BigCommerce platform. You’ll collaborate with UI/UX designers, marketers, and product managers to deliver seamless, scalable shopping experiences for clients across retail, DTC, B2B, and niche industries. You Will Be Responsible For: Store Development: Building and customizing eCommerce storefronts using BigCommerce Stencil framework, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Handlebars. Theme Customization: Implementing responsive UI/UX based on mockups or Figma/Adobe XD designs. API Integrations: Connecting third-party tools (ERP, CRM, inventory systems, payment gateways) using BigCommerce APIs, webhooks, and RESTful services. Backend Logic: Developing custom functionality using BigCommerce server-side scripts and custom apps (Node.js, Express). Performance Optimization: Enhancing site speed, SEO, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility. Testing & Deployment: Conducting QA, troubleshooting issues, and deploying changes using version control and staging environments. This Role Is For You If: You have 2–4+ years of experience with BigCommerce development (Stencil, API, headless architecture). You’re fluent in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and have worked with Handlebars templating. You’ve built or modified BigCommerce themes, apps, or checkout flows. You have experience with REST APIs, OAuth, and integrating third-party services. You’re detail-oriented and familiar with responsive design best practices. You enjoy working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
