Bilingual Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client located in downtown Toronto is currently looking for a Bilingual Accounts Payable Specialist for a temporary position.

Start date: Early December 2026 to early February 2027

Pay rate: $40-$43 per hour

Hybrid: (Work from home 3 days per week)

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Auditing, validating, and entering incoming vendor invoices with high accuracy into the system.
• Managing computerized invoice processing and maintaining well-organized accounting archives.
• Collaborating with the procurement team to resolve contract alignment and purchase order issues.
• Serving as a key liaison for internal departments and external suppliers regarding payment statuses and reconciliation inquiries.
• Performing cost allocations in compliance with fund accounting requirements for non-profit organizations.
• Supporting the Finance Manager with routine tasks and special accounting assignments as needed.

The ideal candidate will/must have:

• Fluently bilingual in both French and English, written and verbal
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle accounts payable or financial administration experience.
• Solid grasp of sales tax mechanisms, specifically HST/GST rules.
• Previous background working within a non-profit organization or higher-education institution is a strong asset.
• Hands-on experience with accounting ERP platforms (knowledge of MS Dynamics is an asset) and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Strong adaptability, organizational agility, and the ability to maintain quality work under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and full bilingual fluency in French and English (oral and written).
