Position Summary:
We are seeking a Clinical Therapist to provide home-based and telehealth counseling to children and families enrolled in Any Baby Can’s core home-based programs and select community partners with the No Esta Solo (NES) behavioral health program at Any Baby Can.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling for adults, children, couples, and families in the client’s home, the office, or other community sites in the Any Baby Can service area.
- Maintain a caseload of 20 to 25 clients receiving counseling services and provide a minimum of 15 counseling sessions per week.
- Conduct brief assessments, psychosocial assessments, and mental health screenings. Determine a diagnosis and develop short-term goals in collaboration with the client and family.
- Participate in clinical supervision with an Any Baby Can board certified clinical supervisor, if applicable. Weekly clinical supervision will be required for those without a permanent license (i.e. LMSW, LPC-Associate).
- Participate in all program and agency meetings, including regular supervision sessions with the NES Program Supervisor, counseling team meetings, and agency all staff meetings.
- Consult and collaborate with Any Baby Can’s social workers, case managers, and educators throughout counseling enrollment regarding referred clients and mental health issues related to clients and families.
- Perform peer quality assurance audits for counseling records and service delivery; including the review of all services provided and documentation.
- Complete documentation of all services provided in a timely manner, including counseling intake, informed consent, assessment, treatment plans, billing requirements, progress notes utilizing agency database, and any other required documentation by the Any Baby Can policies and procedures.
- Participate in outreach activities for the NES program and Any Baby Can.
- Provide counseling and mental health services according to the standards, best practices and ethic codes of the profession, state and federal regulations, and program’s policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling and a minimum of 2 years professional experience required.
- Texas License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW, LMSW) and/or Professional Counseling (LPC, LPC- Associate, LMFT, MFT-Associate), required.
- Fluency in Spanish, verbal and written required.
- Experience in working with low-income and culturally diverse families with multiple needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as actively participate as a collaborative team member.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport quickly with clients and families.
- Proven ability to maintain detailed and accurate program records and meet deadlines.
- Must have current CPR/First Aid Certification or obtain within 30 days.
Special Considerations:
- Must have reliable transportation to travel within the assigned region; if driving own vehicle, must have valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work more than 8 hours per day.
- Ability to sit, stand, and kneel as necessary to fulfill daily duties assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively/clearly.
