Bilingual Spanish and English Medical Interpreter

I-Call International is looking to hire more Spanish Interpreters to work remotely. As a Spanish consecutive medical interpreter, your primary responsibility is to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients who speak Spanish.

Your duties may include:

Interpretation: You will accurately interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and other information between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, and other medical staff.

Cultural mediation: You may need to provide cultural mediation services to help patients understand the healthcare system and how to navigate it effectively. You may also need to help healthcare providers understand cultural differences that may affect patient care.

Confidentiality: You must maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in the interpretation profession.

Documentation: You may be responsible for documenting interpretation services provided, including the date, time, duration, and type of interpretation.

Professional development: You will need to keep up-to-date with the latest medical terminology and healthcare practices to ensure accurate interpretation.

Qualifications for a Spanish consecutive medical interpreter:

• Fluency in Spanish and English

• Experience in interpretation or Translation

• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with the healthcare system is also important.

• Good communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this role.

Technical Requirements:

• Wired USB headset with Boom Microphone (E.g Logitech H390 / Plantronics C3220) with Minimal Design
• Minimum 15 Mbps download and upload speed.
• Computer with an Intel Core i5, 6th generation or higher, and at least 8 GB RAM.
• Wired LAN/Ethernet connection.
• FHD webcam with 1080P
• Quiet and professional workspace.

Timings: Minimum 6 hours and maximum 8 hours - EST time zone

Payment: 6 USD per hour

Working time: EST time zone.
