About the role
Join the Business Solutions Engineering team, in the Bilingual Specialist, Software Engineering position. You will be in charge of ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations) practices where the next generation of software applications are being developed that will enable CMHC to achieve its mission. As an ERP Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, customization and implementation of solutions. You will act as a point of contact for all stakeholders, which will include analyzing and meeting the needs of CMHC’s internal clients.
What you'll do:
- Interfaces with the client community to determine their system needs. Documents the current and proposed business processes. Advises clients of the proposed solutions and their impacts.
- Designs and implements ERP Solutions.
- Designs and customizes plugins to add new features to the basic platform.
- Creates/configures ERP forms, entities, fields, workflows, business process flows.
- Develops integrations with other CMHC systems, such as the CRM system (Microsoft D365), to ensure data consistency.
- Implements security features to protect data and ensure compliance.
- Authors or updates technical specification documents for new or existing solutions.
- Participates in ongoing application maintenance support for existing client solutions.
- Creates custom reports to help users analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Completes application development projects for SDLC implementation into production.
What you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience programming, developing, and implementing business applications.
- An expertise in implementing and customizing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions.
- An expertise with cloud-based systems (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
- Project experience with end-to-end solution implementation, including planning, estimation, and solution architecture.
- A familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, DevOps.
- Strong interpersonal and business competencies, including teamwork, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in both official languages (French and English).
- Strong organizational skills, including an ability to manage multiple priorities with competing demands.
Technologies:
- A relevant experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
- Develop code using Visual Studio, .Net Development (C#), JavaScript, SQL.
- Source code management and DevOps with Azure DevOps and Git.
It would be great if you also had:
- A graduate degree or certificate in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- Microsoft D365 certifications.
- An experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud platform, Logic Apps, Azure Functions.
- An experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse etc.)
