Billings Specialist

This role is Hybrid, Costa Rica

The Billings Specialist is responsible for creating invoices and credit memos in Oracle and verifying the coding and approval of those invoices. The Billings Specialist is responsible for ensuring completion of all billed accounts on a monthly basis. The Billings Specialist is responsible for ensuring and generating SOX compliance documents on a monthly basis. All Billings Specialists collaborate with team members to ensure completion and thoroughness of monthly billing process.

In this role you will..

• Be responsible for creating invoices/credits in our accounting system from complex and international customer agreements
• Ensure invoicing to customers is performed timely and accurately, as well as communicating with the Sales team and collections to research and resolve billing questions
• Analyze customer billing issues for corrective actions
• Assist in review of billing reports and reconciliations
• Assists in special projects as needed
• Communicate regularly with internal and external individuals as it relates to billing/invoicing activities
• Investigate and resolve billing queries
• Issue refunds and billing adjustments
• Partner with the Collections Team to identify billing issues and resolutions
• Participate in updating billing policies and procedures
• Engage in identifying and implementing process improvements
• Consideration for privacy and security obligations

You’ve got what it takes if you have..

• 2+ years of billings or accounting experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong computer literacy and experience using Excel, Word, and other Windows based programs

Extra dose of awesome if you have..

• Experience with Oracle
• Experience with Salesforce.com
• Accounting/Finance experience
• Strong/Advanced Excel
