Summary:

The Bobbitt Group is a 100% Employee-Owned commercial and industrial general contractor building in the Carolinas. With a rich history spanning 80 years, we have a strong reputation for quality, commitment, and integrity.

Building on that foundation, we have a unique opportunity for a strategic, leading-edge thinker and leader to maintain our exponential trajectory of growth. We are seeking someone who can help develop our Employee-Owners to communicate effectively with each other and our clients, leveraging the following core principles:

· DELIVER positive energy, performance, and forge alignment among all stakeholders.

· STRENGTHEN our commitment to innovation and technology through tools that bring efficiency to construction.

· EXTEND our brand and reinforce the Bobbitt legacy across our communities.

· IMPRESS by going above and beyond (even when nobody is watching).

· WOW employees and customers with unique experiences and special memories.

· SIMPLIFY our processes and procedures, ensuring consistency in all that we do.

· WELCOME different patterns of thought, background, and diversity within the company.

The ideal candidate will create differentiators in the marketplace, have a fire in their belly to drive Bobbitt forward, and exhibit humility and thankfulness in all that they do. Everything matters!

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Serve as the BIM lead on assigned projects from preconstruction through closeout, acting as the point of contact for project managers, superintendents, design partners, and trade partners.

· Develop, implement, and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) for each project, holding all parties to agreed standards, file naming, level of development (LOD), and model exchange schedules.

· Collect architectural, structural, MEP, and trade partner models and combine them into a coordinated project model.

· Run clash detection in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), sort and assign issues to the responsible party, and track every conflict through to resolution.

· Lead weekly coordination meetings with trade partners and design partners, document decisions and action items, and record coordination signoffs before release for fabrication and installation.

· Audit incoming design and trade models for accuracy, completeness, and LOD, and flag gaps that put cost, schedule, or field installation at risk.

· Review coordinated models against construction documents, RFIs, and submittals, and help the project team resolve design conflicts before they reach the field.

· Support constructability reviews with the preconstruction and operations teams, using the model to spot sequencing, access, and installation issues early.

· Produce coordination drawings, sections, and 3D views in Revit and AutoCAD for trade partners and field teams.

· Visit jobsites to verify installed conditions against the coordinated model, answer field questions, and support superintendents with model based layout and installation planning.

· Track field changes and make sure as-built conditions are captured in the model throughout construction.

· Deliver final as-built models and BIM closeout documents to owners in line with contract requirements.

· Manage model files, versions, and folder structure on shared platforms so the whole team works from current information.

· Maintain Bobbitt BIM coordination standards and workflows, train project staff on BIM tools, and share lessons learned across projects.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

· BIM Execution Plan in place within 30 days of project award on every assigned project.

· Clashes resolved and trade coordination signed off before release for fabrication and installation, with zero major field conflicts traced to missed coordination.

· Coordination meetings held on schedule, with action items logged and closed within agreed timeframes.

· Field questions and model related RFIs answered within agreed turnaround times.

· As-built models and BIM closeout documents delivered within 30 days of substantial completion.

Required Knowledge, Experience & Competencies:

· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

· 5+ years of BIM experience, including at least 2 years leading model coordination on active construction projects with a general contractor, design-build firm, or trade contractor.

· Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.

· Experience running clash detection and model coordination in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC); Navisworks, BIM 360, or Revizto is a plus.

· Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing, including MEP systems and trade coordination.

· Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.

· Design-build project experience preferred.

· Comfortable running meetings with trade partners and holding them to schedule commitments.

· Clear communicator who can explain technical issues to designers, trade partners, and field teams.

· Organized and detail focused, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

· Proficient in Microsoft 365; Procore or Bluebeam experience is a plus.

Work format:

This position splits time between our Cary office and active jobsites. Remote work is allowed as needed (approx. 1 day per week). Team collaboration and presence at in-person coordination meetings are critical.
