Responsibilities

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and implements the proposed Program-wide BIM system strategy and standards.
• Monitors consultants and contractors compliance with BIM strategy and standards.
• Performs the role of reviewer for all BIM outputs and deliverables.
• Provides hands-on training to clients and stakeholders in Revit, Navisworks, Civil3D and ACC.
• Carries out BIM validation reviews, design clash detection and visual checks.
• Assists with BIM capability assessment, BEP and related Appendices, Tender Queries, service agreements and appointments.
• Monitors and oversees the integration of consultants and contractors with BIM models.
• Carries out BIM reviews, across all design and construction stages.
• Manages the BIM process such that the highest quality of deliverables are produced.
• Ensures and validates that technical coordination between stakeholders is carried out on the BIM models.
• Carries out reviews of BIM models to ensure that compliance with the client’s own BIM Standards have been met.
• Monitors the submissions of BIM deliverables to ensure that all review comments have been responded to and/or integrated.
• Chairs BIM review meetings/workshops with Client's team and appointed parties.
• Contributes specialist expertise that will enhance the outputs of the BIM models in line with the BIM objectives of the project.
• Creates and maintains project tracking documents for design and construction outputs and BIM reviews.
• Provides BIM updates into monthly reports on projects status.

JOB-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret various types of business documents. Ability to effectively respond to inquiries from clients, co-workers, supervisor and/or management. High level of design, construction and handover skills in all related disciplines. Detailed understanding of the design and construction development process and project management concepts. Experience teaching, tutoring, and training professionals in industry processes and technologies.
• Fully conversant in BIM methods, standards and procedures and have a proven track record in the creation and responding to EIRs, authoring or contributing to BEPs and setting up delivery processes and workflows to meet the clients BIM requirements.
• Knowledge of various international BIM standards, including but not restricted to ISO19650, openBIM, COBie and related standards and protocols.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud and Autodesk software such as Revit, Navisworks, Civil3D and AutoCAD.
• Skilled in dashboards, KPIs, and reporting to monitor project and digital performance.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Advanced proficiency in a range of 3D computer aided design tools including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil3D and various Revit add-ins such as Dynamo, Autodesk Interoperability Tools and DiRoots.
• Proven experience with BIM management, digital design and construction and ACC application.
• Proven experience with ACC in live projects.
• Hands-on experience developing and assessing EIRs, BEPs, CDE workflows, and ISO 19650 compliance.
• Experience in tender support, client workshops, and technical proposal development.
• Exposure to large-scale and multi-disciplinary projects including buildings, landscape and infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Commitment to ongoing advanced training in BIM software, processes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Membership of international construction institutes (RICS, CIOB, CIAT, or equivalent).
• Membership of the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent.
• Autodesk Certified Professional.
• ISO 19650 — BSI Project and Asset Information Practitioner / Professional or equivalent.
