About the Job
As a Quality Control (QC) Engineer, you will apply your strong software testing and quality assurance experience to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of banking and payment systems. You will perform manual and automated testing, design and execute test cases, identify and track defects, and collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and high-quality software. You will also contribute to QA process improvements, mentor junior team members, and promote best practices across the software development lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Design, develop,
execute, and document test cases and test scenarios for banking and payment
applications.
- Perform functional, regression,
integration, and other relevant software testing activities.
- Conduct manual testing and support automated
testing to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Identify, document,
track, and report software defects using appropriate defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers, product
owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure software quality
requirements are met.
- Execute software test plans and validate
application functionality against business and technical requirements.
- Analyze test results, investigate
inconsistencies, and support defect resolution and retesting.
- Prepare test progress
reports, communicate quality status, and highlight risks and issues to relevant
teams.
- Contribute to QA process improvements and
the implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Lead and mentor junior team members while
promoting testing best practices.
- Manage multiple testing activities,
prioritize tasks, and support timely delivery in an Agile environment.
- Ensure testing activities align with
relevant banking, payment, security, and compliance standards.
What you'll need
- 5–8
years of experience in
software quality control, software testing, or quality assurance.
- Mandatory experience in banking and
payment systems.
- Hands-on experience in both manual and
automated software testing.
- Strong knowledge of test case design,
test execution, test documentation, and defect management.
- Experience performing functional and
regression testing.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and
reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and
problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating with
developers, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to lead or mentor junior team
members and support QA process improvements.
- Excellent communication, coordination,
and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks,
prioritize effectively, and work within Agile teams.
- Experience contributing to test plans,
quality assurance procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Awareness or knowledge of IT security
best practices and compliance standards such as ISO/SOC or similar.
