About the Role

Our client, a well-established engineering and building services consultancy based near Amersfoort, is looking for an experienced Mechanical BIM Modeller (W) to join their team on a freelance basis. You will be involved in the delivery of several large-scale residential high-rise developments, working closely with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders throughout the design process.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project environment with flexibility to work remotely once you have completed your initial onboarding period.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical building services installations.
• Produce high-quality technical drawings and project documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical systems within multidisciplinary BIM models.
• Perform clash detection and contribute to design coordination meetings.
• Ensure models comply with project standards, BIM protocols, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with project engineers, architects, and external stakeholders.
• Support project teams throughout design and construction phases.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical BIM Modeller (W) within the building services sector.
• Strong proficiency in Revit MEP.
• Experience working on residential, commercial, or high-rise building projects.
• Good understanding of Dutch building services design and BIM workflows.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with project teams.
• Strong communication skills.

Essential

• Fluent Dutch-speaking (written and spoken).
• Eligible to work as a freelancer (ZZP) in the Netherlands.

Desirable

• Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Knowledge of clash detection software such as Navisworks.
• Experience working on large-scale residential developments.
