We are looking for a dynamic BIM Specialist to join our Water team on a full-time basis in our Toronto office. Duties: Support the team in preparing detailed models in accordance with established procedures, technical specifications, and client requirements to produce both 2D and 3D deliverables. Development of Building Information Models for water and wastewater infrastructure design utilizing Revit. Leadership in the implementation of RVA’s BIM execution plan and development and updating of BIM standards across water and wastewater projects ensuring that BIM execution plans are produced and maintained for each project. Organize and facilitate BIM coordination reviews, technical meetings, and workshops, documenting issues and ensuring follow‑up actions are completed. Work with linear and vertical design team to develop BIM standards and specifications. Provide technical support and training to design teams regarding BIM tools, workflows, standards, and content libraries, including families and project templates. Preparation and review of REVIT design and as-constructed / record drawings for projects. Production of views, sections, and details, in both AutoCAD and Revit with appropriate location, scope, and Level of Detail. Translate mark-ups/sketches into drawings consistent with company standards; check drawings for consistency with standards and plot final drawings; correctly label final work drawings; and update contract drawings and specifications. As-constructed surveys and review of as-constructed surveys and preparation of as-constructed drawings. Communicate with other disciplines on a project-by-project basis. Assist in field activities to gather project information, as necessary. Other duties as required where appropriate for the position. Qualifications: Graduated of a recognized BIM Management program is considered an asset. Graduated of a 3-year college level civil engineering technologist program or a 2-year civil engineering technician program would be considered favorably. 0-3+ years of relevant experience, preferably with process mechanical systems. Experience with municipal water and wastewater facilities will be considered an asset. Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications. Experience using different software such as, REVIT, AutoCAD and Navisworks is required. Demonstrable experience with enterprise‑grade document and construction management systems such as Autodesk Forma Scripting experience (Dynamo, Python) considered an asset. Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written. Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients. Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail. Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary environments. Compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
