Board Member

We're looking for 2 new Directors to join the Teach Learn Grow Board.

Every year, our volunteer tutors, most of them university students, travel to rural, regional and remote primary schools across WA and NSW to work one-on-one with kids who don't have the same access to support as their city cousins.

We're growing, and our Board needs to grow with us. We're recruiting four new Directors to bring fresh perspective, new networks, and skills we don't currently have around the table.

You don't need to have sat on a board before. What matters more is that you care about the mission and bring one or more of:

• Legal, risk and compliance

• Human resources

• Marketing, branding and communications

• Volunteer management

• Youth engagement

• Tertiary education sector experience

• Financial management

• Lived experience of rural, regional or remote Australia

The commitment is six meetings a year (6pm AWST, in person at our Victoria Park office or online for the right candidate) and around four hours a month. It's a voluntary, unpaid role, and we provide governance training and support.

We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply. We'd especially love to hear from people early in their careers, and from people with a connection to the communities we work in.
