This role provides a hybrid way of working with an onsite presence of 2 days/week.
Role description
The Category Lead Procurement Sourcing Desk is responsible for driving proper sourcing activities across all subcategories within their primary category IT( SaaS, Software, IT Services), ensuring timely execution, stakeholder satisfaction and meeting other SLAs as determined. In addition to leading sourcing activities directly, the Category Lead Procurement Sourcing Desk will be responsible for managing sourcing requests from the business, running sourcing events, transactional purchasing and contract / vendor setup.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple brands and geographies to support their purchasing needs
Source new suppliers and negotiate contracts based on stakeholder direction and approval
Conduct negotiations and manage contract execution aligned to organizational policies
Maintain category, transactional and supplier-level reporting to senior executives and internal stakeholders
Collaborate with and support the Global Senior Category lead a ensure delivery of overarching global Procurement team goals, including triage process development and effective execution
Coordinate administrative procurement activities, including but not limited to contract registration in our contract lifecycle management tools and sign off in close alignment with Business Stakeholders, Group Legal, IT Security and Compliance
Perform other tasks required by leadership.
Role Qualifications and Requirements
Strong background in Procurement and Category Management, including strong understanding of commercial contracts (must have experience in Tech contracts)
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Experience with eProcurement systems (e.g., Coupa, Ariba, SAP) and strong analytics proficiency
Demonstrated experience in procurement strategy, negotiation, and supplier management
Minimum 2–3 years of experience working in multinational companies with cross-functional stakeholder interaction
Comfort in ambiguity - able to adapt style and approach in order to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders from a variety of different geographies and cultures
Ability to proactively drive the assigned projects and reach the preset objectives
Ability to work in a high pressure and fast paced environment
Demonstrates tenacity, drive, ability to and collaborate
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build credibility with business partners, with a strong focus on Customer Centricity
Continuous improvement/learner’s mindset
Strong negotiation skills required
Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.
